The MilesApart Band is a 6-7-piece band that can feature up to 10 players including dynamic female vocals.  The soul infused sounds of funk are always present.  Explosive horn lines, intricate keyboard styling, rhythmic drumbeats, exceptional guitar licks and rhythms and heart-felt bass add to the intoxicating vocals and harmonies.  Their personalities and artistic talents emerge on stage and meld together in unrivaled timing. On April 16, 2003 the MilesApart Band was honored with a proclamation from then honorable Denver Mayor Wellington E. Webb as “Ron Ivory and the MilesApart Band Day.” The MilesApart Band is a must-see charismatic band specializing in old school R&B, funk, classic soul, dance and original music.

The musicianship is as follows, bass, guitar, drums, saxophone with lead and background vocals, second keyboards, Saxophone/Flute and additional vocals with Ron primarily on keys and lead and background vocals. The MilesApart Band offers the option of adding a three-piece horn section “The Kick Brass Orch” for an additional fee.
